When I started planning my so-called escape to Italy, I was suggested to definitely also buy a return ticket. Things happen and it's good to know that can at least go home to your mom who doesn't say mean things to you no matter how big of a failure you are. Well, I wouldn't consider myself a failure just yet. Or ever, really. First of all I came here knowing perfectly well how difficult it will be to find a job. Well, I tried my luck. No luck, unfortunately. Secondly, I came here for the experience of a foreign country, experience of Italy. And I now have this experience. As for luck, I am still hoping for the best. Being an uncurabale optimist I can hope until the last day. Maybe life has a movie-like scene in store for me: I am packing my suitcase, crying about the fact I have to leave tomorrow. And then: a phone call with an offer for the Best Job Ever. Things happen, as I said before. Frankly, I'd like things to happen b e f o r e the very last minute. I'd would be happy with anything, really. Just that I wouldn't have to leave this country so soon.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, the date on the ticket is advancing with super-speed. I can change the date on the ticket but I am not one hundred per cent sure if I should. My money-well is dry and frankly I don't have any rich and dying relatives. Things happen, as I have said twice before. Oh, let them happen so that I wouldn't have to leave just yet!
Hei Hei, well I hope for you as well these things happen. I will 'pray' for you as well. Not that I am religious as you already know, but you just know that I hope luck will be at your side. One thing is for sure, your time in Italy is a time and experience no-one can take away from you, whatever happens.
